About SBI Bank PO Exam:

State Bank of India (SBI) is one of the biggest public sector banks in India. SBI selects candidates through Direct Recruitment Exams and All India Open Competitive Exams for various categories.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Nationality:

Candidate should be a citizen of India or Indian Nationality as per the rules of Government of India.

 

2. Age:

A candidate should be between 21 – 30 years (both inclusive) as on 1st April of every year in order to appear for the respective year’s exam.

3. Educational Qualification:

A candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Candidates who are in final year of Graduation/Semester can also apply. If called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the Graduation. Examination will be conducted on or before 10th Aug of every year

Marks Format:

- Candidates are given 1 mark for each correct answer.

- The penalty of 0.25 mark will be levied, if any wrong answer has been given.

- No marks are given for the questions that are not answered.

Note:

- Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each of the given Sections. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cutoffs will be decided and cutoffs will vary year to year based on the marks scored by the candidates.     

- Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates who have scored qualifying marks in the objective tests will be evaluated.

 

7. Interview:

For PO Exam:

Candidates qualified in both the Objective test and Descriptive test will be called for an Interview based on the number of vacancies available. Candidates are required to score minimum marks in the interview which consists of Group Discussion (20 marks) and Interview (30 marks) to be considered for final selection.

The qualifying marks for GD and Interview will be decided by the bank. Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in written exam and interview taken together. Objective test and Descriptive test will be converted into 75 marks from 250 marks and Interview marks will be converted into 25 marks from 50 marks, which will constitute total of 100 marks.

 

For Clerical Exam:

Candidates qualified in the test will be called for an Interview based on the number of vacancies available. Candidates are required to score minimum marks in the interview to be considered for the final selection. Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in written exam and interview taken together.

Note: Total of 35 marks is given for the Interview process.

 

8. How to apply:

- Candidates will have to visit official website of SBI (www.sbi.co.in) and need to fill the Online Application under the recruitment link along with their scanned photograph and signature.

-  After filling the details, candidates can pay the application fee by Online/Offline method. Online payment can be made using their Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking facility.

- Offline payment will be accepted only from 2nd working day of the registration in any State Bank of India.

 

For PO Exam:

Candidates have to pay the application fee and intimation charge of Rs.100 for SC/ST/PWD/XS and Rs.500 for General Category and OBC.

 

For Clerical Exam:

Candidates have to pay the application fee and intimation charge of Rs.100 for SC/ST/PWD/XS and Rs.450 for General Category and OBC.
